COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATIONS AND SECOND OPINIONSAThe philosophy that drives the team at Smile More Today is that any new relationship is built on communication. We are focused on getting to know our patients as the individuals they are before we dive into commencing treatments. A beautiful, lasting smile is the result of effort, time, and skill. We are all different in our appearance and in our needs. When we collaborate with patients on the appearance of their smiles, we do so with the goal of having the result look completely natural. When you first visit our office, you may want to learn all you can about the aesthetic and restorative options that are available to you. In your consultation visit, we will discuss your needs and perform the following:
- A limited examination
- Digital photos of your teeth and smile, which we will then review for potential treatments
- A review of before and after pictures of similar cases
- A written treatment plan and estimate
COMFORT-IMPROVING TECHNIQUES - BECAUSE WE CARE ABOUT YOUR COMFORTSuper Numbing Gel - A highly effective custom-formulated numbing gel is pharmacy-made for us to use before treatment procedures.
Extremely Small Dental Needles - We would all like to avoid the discomfort of injections when we can. To accomplish outstanding comfort, our office uses the smallest needles available. These needles are unknown to most dentists and therefore are not found in most dental practices. In combination with our super numbing gel, the shorter, thinner needles lead to virtually painless injections.
LESS RADIATION – DIGITAL X-RAYS AND RECORDSWe use digital x-ray sensors that provide greater detail and 95 percent less radiation to our valued patients compared to old-fashioned x-rays. The images that are produced give us more information than conventional x-rays. With this added information we can diagnose smaller cavities and infections that, when treated earlier, results in more comfort for our patients.
All of our patient records, including x-rays, are stored electronically. If for any reason you need your records sent to another office, we are happy to provide them free of charge.
Health Living - Holistic DentistryNo Mercury!!! Live Healthy. Live Mercury Free - Silver-mercury (black) amalgam fillings have not been used by Dr. Kumar since graduating from dental school. In addition to the natural look, the new bonded composite fillings 'bond' to the tooth, resulting in a much stronger tooth, have less susceptibility to cracking teeth, and are much healthier for the teeth and the environment.
Allergy Free Metals - If you have red, irritated gums around crowns or bridges no matter how well you brush, you may have an allergy to the metal in your dental work! Many people have allergies to nickel, copper, or beryllium. In fact, 25 percent of all women are allergic to nickel. Some dentists, in order to save money, use cheaper dental alloys in their crowns, bridges, and dentures. We care about our patients' health, and that is why we never use these potentially allergic metals in your dental restorations. In fact, our crowns are now metal-free. They are made with porcelain. This porcelain is four times stronger than the porcelain on a metal-fused-to-porcelain crown and is not abrasive to natural enamel.

Guest amenitiesAt Smile More Today, we believe that your visits to our practice should be stress-free, and relaxing.
Referral rewardsPersonal referrals from our patients are the greatest compliment we can receive. It means not only were you were satisfied with the care and services that we provided you, but that you trust we will do the same for your family, friends and colleagues.
When you refer a new patient to our practice, they will receive a take home whitening kit for only $99 and you will receive a $25 credit at our office for future use. Although there is no actual cash value for this credit, it may be used towards any office fees that would otherwise be paid out of pocket. Many patients choose to accumulate their credits to use towards one or more procedures not covered by insurance, such as teeth whitening.
This credit can also be transferred to family members within the practice.
Certain conditions apply; contact us for more details.
Focus on Prevention – Prevention is better than cureWe have designed a Prevention Protocol that uses three different methods to reduce decay in your mouth.
We have designed a Prevention Protocol that uses three different methods to reduce decay in your mouth.
Fluoride treatments create a decay resistant layer in all teeth (not only baby teeth). We recommend adult fluoride treatments to patients who are at a higher risk for tooth decay. People who have gum recession, tooth sensitivity, multiple fillings and crowns, or those who may have difficulty brushing (such as arthritis of the hands) benefit as well.
MI Paste: We have recently introduced MI Paste, which is a new approach to sensitivity and enamel decay reversal using Recaldent: an amorphous calcium phosphate.
Xylitol has been scientifically proven to reduce decay causing bacteria in your mouth and reduce the number of cavities you get.
Advanced Visualization CapabilitiesAdvanced Magnification - Teeth are very small, smaller than your pinky fingernail. In order to provide you with the best possible dental care we need to fully see what we are doing. We use specially made dental magnifying glasses during your treatment.
Miniature Video Cameras in Your Mouth - It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, which is why we are using miniature video cameras that take pictures inside the mouth and instantly transmit the images to the TVs in the treatment rooms. No more fumbling with awkward hand mirrors! This helpful tool is useful not only to educate you about your mouth, but also magnifies your teeth and aids in the diagnosis of potential problems. Now you can see your problem areas without having to "take our word for it."
